About the artist

  • Considered by the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” (15.10.2013) as “one of the greatest violoncello talents” for “the specific and exciting, high-energy sound, always singing in high registers in a clear, defined and masculine way, at the same high levels of enchanting lyricism”.
  • He has won national and international awards, being often awarded at the “Jugend musiziert”, the “Friedrich Dotzauer” contest in Dresden and with the first prize at the “Karl Davidov” International Competition in Riga. He has received the Music Prize of the German Cultural Committee, the 2nd prize at the “George Enescu” International Competition in Bucharest.
  • He had concerts together with the Deutsches Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Czech Philharmonic, Münchener Kammerorchester, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, SWR Stuttgart and SR Saarbrücken, Camerata Salzburg, Latvian Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Prague Philharmonia, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, “George Enescu” Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Radio Orchestra, and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra.
  • He played on venues such as the Munich Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, Konzerthaus Berlin, Prinzregententheater and Herkulessaal in Munich, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Philharmonic in Riga and Hong Kong.
  • He was invited to play at numerous festivals including the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the George Enescu Festival, Heidelberger Frühling, Cellobienale Amsterdam, Musikfest Stuttgart, Fürstensaal Classix, Hong Kong Arts Festival, SoNoRo, Klangspuren Tirol.
  • Chamber music concerts with Evgheni Bozhanov, Hagen Quartet, Ib Hausmann, Diana Ketler, Alexander Madzhar, Igor Ozim, Alina Pogostkina, Razvan Popovici, Antje Weithaas and 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philharmoniker.
