Born in 1988 in Timisoara, in a family of musicians, Dinu started learning the piano at the age of five.
His musical education includes a Soloist Diploma and a Certificate of Advanced Studies at the HEM de Genève, where he studied with Prof. Dominique Weber and Cédric Pescia. He had the chance to work with world-renowned musicians: Leon Fleisher, Menahem Pressler, Dmitri Bashkirov, Julian Martin and others.
After winning the 2nd Prize in „Carl Filtsch” International Piano Competition (Sibiu, 2000), he was invited to make special recordings at the National Radio Television in Bucharest. In 2003, Dinu made his debut at the Romanian Atheneum, with a recital at the Studio Hall.
His collaboration with international musicians started in 2009, when he played with the Gijon Festival Orchestra conducted by Oliver Diaz. In 2015 he played with the orchestra of the HEM in Geneva in the Great Hall of Geneva Conservatory under the direction of Nader Abbassi. Dinu was invited to perform in renowned International Music Festivals such as Gijon Millennium Piano Festival (Spain), Les estivales de Megève (France) and Puplinge Classique (Switzerland).
In 2017 he won the 2nd Prize in the „Bela Bartók” International Piano Competition in Szeged (Hungary) and the 2nd Prize at the Nice International Piano Competition (France, 2016). Other prizes in International Competitions include: 2nd Prize at the Chamber Music Competition „Leopold Bellan” (Paris 2017), winner of the Piano Category at the Orange Corporation Romania Music Competition „Searching for Enescu” (Bucharest 2006), Special Prize of the Jury in „Jeunesses Musicales” Competition (Bucharest).
Since 2017, Dinu is part of the piano faculty at the CPMDT in Geneva and Ecole Sociale de Musique in Lausanne (Switzerland). His next projects include concerts in Switzerland, France and Romania.
